Ok, I'm not entirely happy with what I've got so far, but I'll keep working on it. I'll just leave this here for review:
Height: 1.75m Weight: 57kg Maki could easily pass for a civilian were it not for the way she carries herself and the toned musculature on her frame. She has a military tattoo on her left arm, with the latin quote aut viam inveniam aut faciam (I will either find a way or make one) Name: Nishizumi, Maki Age: 26 Gender: Female Callsign/Codename: Hunter Kills: 48. She would have earned her Ace by now, but apparently getting two enemy MAS to shoot each other doesn't count as her own kills. Psychological Analysis: Most people who meet her will describe her in two words: Honey Trap. Maki is polite and greets everyone she meets with a smile, while anyone who's served on the same ship or unit will testify to how charming and helpful she can be whenever she's not tending to her own duties. Underneath all that, however, is a witty tongue that's looking for a moment to land a bruise on someone's ego in good humour. Some might say this is what makes her the ideal pilot for the Hellcat. There is no question, however, that she is a fierce fighter. She brooks no insult to her teammates and fellow soldiers, and will quickly put anyone who does so on the floor or in the hospital. It comes as no surprise, then, that she values loyalty from her friends more than anything else. She can forgive most character flaws, but once a betrayal has been committed, her trust is nigh impossible to win back. The same goes for violating principles with her when given prior warnings. She would gladly cover a comrade's back and while she doesn't expect reciprocation, she doesn't bother maintaining a trust that the other party's not invested in. The reverse is also true, however, and she will even help hide bodies for someone she trusts without condition. In her words, someone "she can trust to hold a blade to her throat". That all said, however, Maki likes her privacy and can be quite reserved about her own personal space or history. The quickest way to piss her off is to enter her room without permission, and heavens have mercy on the poor soul who even rearranges anything in it. She is meticulous to a fault and extremely determined. It's not uncommon for people to find her studying different MAS models and their weaknesses, or reviewing her own mission records to see how her performance can be improved. The above also holds true for food and snacks - Maki, while her physique hides the fact, enjoys eating and can almost always be seen with some kind of snack in her hand or nursing some candy in her mouth. She has a sweet tooth and has her own stash of soft drinks and snacks. The quickest way to win her favour and get her to warm up to you would be to bribe her with sweets she's never tried before. In battle, Maki follows a simple code: An enemy never leaves her sights alive. It is the reason why she was given the callsign 'Hunter'. Her careful study of the enemy and their tactics makes her a very efficient killing machine on the battlefield. It is important to note, however, that her attitude isn't born of bloodthirstiness or hatred. She keeps a calm and collected head about her and believes simply that she kills because she must - whether to preserve the life of a teammate or to ensure the success of the mission. She does, however, have a code of honour - she will not fire on an enemy that's wounded and unable or unwilling to fight, nor will she get civilians caught in the crossfire. While some of her fellow soldiers would be all too willing to simply gun down anyone wearing a Coalition uniform, Maki doesn't believe in killing men who aren't fighting back. Her major flaw, however, is that she has little respect for the chain of command outside taking orders. It isn't any intentional abrasiveness on her end, but simply a brutal honesty that she doesn't hide, even from her superiors. She's not afraid to tell them when they're giving a stupid order or overstepping their bounds, and while that might make her popular among other grunts, it certainly wins her no favours from officers with fragile egos. Her smart mouth doesn't help matters either. That said, people always know where they stand with her, and she's not going to mince her words. Her determination in battle also carries over as stubbornness in this regard. When convinced of her own righteousness, she is impossible to reason with. The best one can hope for is for an agreement to disagree. Should she ever be open-minded enough to listen or back down in such a situation, it speaks volumes of the respect she has for the other party. Military Record: Maki's father, Tatsumi Nishizumi, was a renowned MAS pilot before he was killed in combat when she was 16. While she wasn't raised to follow in his footsteps, he had taught her life lessons she held close to her heart. As such, it only seemed natural that she enlisted as a MAS pilot as well. In spite of protests from her mother that she didn't want another member of the family to die in a steel casket, Maki had a natural talent for being a pilot. If she didn't make it into a MAS, she would be piloting aircraft. Even her training records were impressive. With the basic suits that trainees got before graduating to full-fledged combatants, Maki made the simple MAS move like a sophiscated, top of the line model. This earned her equal parts admiration and scorn from her peers. It also spelt the end of her hopes of ever making it into a top class unit when she embarrassed her instructor during their final assessment by disabling his suit's movements before landing the killing blow, even if it was the best tactic at the time. She was sent somewhere she would "learn to play ball like a grunt" - a punishment unit, basically. If Maki Nishizumi proved one thing during her time in that unit - it was that skill counted for much more than equipment did. Her exceptional skill with a barely adequate MAS soon earned her the respect of her fellow pilots. She was often outnumbered and outgunned, but found ways to turn the situation to her advantage or at the very least, salvaged the lives of her team from a massacre. Her most noteworthy battle involved getting two enemy MAS's to kill each other in their own crossfire as she outmaneuvered them. It wasn't long before her service record drew the attention of specialized MAS units. Given her own customized MAS and assigned to a team better suited to her ability, Maki spent the next few years as part of the Raiders - a special unit tasked with fighting behind enemy lines and disrupting their battle effectiveness. They were pilots who specialized in hit-and-run tactics, and often disappeared before the enemy could react to their attacks. In fact, as Maki would later say when recounting her time in the Raiders, "If we were getting shot at, we did something wrong." Her time as a Raider came to a tragic end when a high risk mission ended up getting her team killed. They had been fed bad intelligence and walked into an ambush, and while Maki managed to fight her way out of it, the overwhelming firepower and ferocity of the enemy had left her with a badly damaged MAS and left her barely conscious when she stumbled out of the cockpit. Battered and bruised, Maki was given an extended leave of absence to recover from the botched mission and to mourn her comrades. The mission's failure spelt the end of the Raiders, as they had lost their best pilots and suits, unable to find replacements for man or machine. It was a waste to let a pilot of her skill be assigned to any regular mobile armour unit, however, and Maki soon found herself being offered a position as a member of the 101st Legion. Though she's only been here for 6 months, she's already proven to be a good fit with the team and has no problem punching above her weight. Some might say, however, that she's simply trying to avoid a repeat of what happened with the Raiders and having to attend another mass funeral for her comrades. Equipment: Maki carries two .45 caliber service sidearms, a combat knife and has a 9mm submachine gun under the seat of her cockpit.

Appearance: Designation: FT-190 Hellcat Mk II SOC Role: Assault/Scout Chassis: Medium Engine: Improved Quad Core Engine 25 PWR Operating Time: 8 Hours Description: The FT-190 Hellcat series was designed for quick, guerilla tactics. They had speed and firepower but sacrificed armour and required skilled pilots to have any combat efficiency at all. The Mk II SOC was designed to improve survivability without compromising on the machine's speed or maneuverability, allowing it to still be effective at hit-and-run tactics while improving survival rates in short skirmishes or fighting retreats. Stealth features were supported but only included at the pilot's request, in order to allow the MAS to evade detecting and better dictate terms of engagements. In short, the Hellcat is designed to get in without the enemy being the wiser and to do as much damage in as little time and as few shots as possible. Systems: M103 30mm EKP Autocannon. 5 WT 5 PWR. - Specifically designed for the Hellcat, the M103 provides lethal firepower with deadly accuracy. Firing 100 round clips, the M103 can alternate between a 5-round burst or semi-automatic fire. Despite the slightly low rate of fire at 600 rounds a minute, the M103's EKP rounds are specially designed to shatter after penetrating the armour, effectively turning the round into explosive filler and wrecking internal systems. Maki has painted the side of the autocannon with the names of her fallen comrades' names, a reminder to never let the past repeat itself and to honour their memory. Rapier Missile System 3 WT 2 PWR - Shoulder-mounted turrets each carrying 2 Rapier missiles. The shoulder compartment housing the turrets carries an additional 4 rounds on each side, allowing the turret to retract into the MAS and reload. The Rapier missiles are designed to penetrate armour before exploding, making them extremely effective even at disabling heavily armoured MAS or even ships, if the missiles hit a weak point in the armour. X9 Energy Saber (Internal Capacitor) 1 WT 3 PWR - Built into the arm of the Hellcat itself, it is built into the "offhand" of the MAS, allowing it to engage multiple enemies effectively at close range. The sword has a life of 3 hours. Rotary .50 Caliber Minigun 0 WT 1 PWR - Mounted on the left shoulder, the minigun is designed to protect the Hellcat against infantry and armoured vehicles and aircraft while allowing its main armaments to engage enemy MAS. With a belt fed 500 round clip, it fires at an impressive 2000 rounds a minute and can take incendiary and explosive rounds as well. Class 2 Energy Shield 5 WT 5 PWR - The Hellcat isn't designed to take hits, but there's no point in being taken out by a single shot either. The shield was added after pilot survival rates in the Mk I Hellcat became too lethal to make the MAS viable as an attack unit. Improved Reactor Output 3 WT +5 PWR - A high end customization used by pilots. Using efficient parts and techniques, this upgrade allows MAS's to add an additional +5 PWR to their generator output. Stealth Drive 0 WT 5 PWR - Stealth Drives allow a MAS to remain hidden from most scanning and targeting modules, and removes most of the MAS's emissions at the cost of a small amount of maximum thrust. It does not however protect the MAS from visual recognition. With the Hellcat's already impressive speed and maneuverability, on top of its sleek design, the drain on maximum thrust is almost negligible. Surround Sound Speakers 0 WT 0 PWR - Maki's cockpit has in-built speakers, a slight modification of her own for a little comfort when on missions. They blast music, usually rock or metal, when she's doing maintenance or whenever she's not in a critical situation on missions. The music will, however, be softened/muted when someone's talking over the comms channels.
Criticism: It'd be nice to know the top speed of the Abraham Lincoln and where the MAS deploy from (I'm assuming we're not in the hangar with the other aircraft).
