Ah, I should've added a brief history to the IC post. I'll do that now, but essentially, the colony grows in two ways. Waves of migrants/new colonists, and children born. I'd say that the colony is about 5 months old, with the second wave having arrived a month ago. You can choose whether your characters arrived with the initial wave or the most recent one.
