I believe this is the correct place to discuss this. I have a question about the site and I can't seem to locate anything about the question that I have. My question is: What is the reason for topics having the reply option removed after a month with no activity? 

I am a new member and thought before diving head first into RPGs that perhaps it'll be best to check out the Off-Topic Discussions boards, check out a few Topics here and there, and then perhaps share my input on a few things that I have interest in. To test the waters of the site, so to speak. Sadly, the Topics that I wished too comment within I couldn't. They had their reply options removed. 
Just wish to know why this is since I do not see the purpose of such a move to be in place due a number of different reasons which can be explain further if need be.
