The physical bodies, the vessels, are important to the plot, but if you can incorporate it, I'd like the idea. It's not Jack's underpowered ability that I disapprove of, but his lack of distinction between a ghoul and reborn ghoul. For me, the only thing that would be considered OP in this world is tapping into The Origin in any way. A reborn's vulnerability is their soul, and so Jack could be a super ghoul and try to rip away at a reborn's body but it will simply regenerate back to its original state. Uh, well I really don't want to spoil everything from the beginning, but the IC post should shed more light on what exactly these reborn beings are. As for their purpose... Well, in due time!
