Roll reqesting. If you please.
Khan <3 Also, @Terminal and @ethanjory are ok with me assigning some additonal global traits (2 weaknesses & 2 strengths). Alternatively, you can always suggest your own, or I roll for 1 weakness and 1 strength, and you think up the rest. Personally I think the latter might prove more interesting. Thoughts? It would be a combination of the current system and Kad's heritage, for those familiar with it. Are there any objections?

I'd quite like a roll.
I quite like these results. Small but deadly, like a scorpion, which ties in with the geography! ESSENTIALS Population Density (Population - 2,800,000) - Sparsely populated, regionally dense; A good amount of manpower for the military and economic purposes, with social infrastructure strained more at a regional basis. Civic projects range from affordable to expensive. The nation requires a stronger agriculture to sustain itself. Economy - Slow Growth - The economy is performing well, though there is room for improvement. There are certain limitations on the economy that are bottlenecking real growth, such as a restriction in supplies or insufficient demand, however. There is some unemployment and economic unhappiness among people in the lower income brackets. You heavily are dependent on trade. Urbanisation - Semi-urbanised: There are several towns and a few cities present, ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand inhabitants. Technology - Modernizing: The industrial infrastructure is in the process of improvement, and this is a teething process. But the economy is seeing increased activity because of this investment. New technologies are becoming domestically available. However, there is a degree of dependence on imports, including in terms of the expertise to modernize the economy. Metallurgy is high-tech, even steel lies within your capabilities. Domestic Political Stability - Relatively stable GEOGRAPHY Largely consists of plains, desert, with tropical areas RESOURCES Mineral Deposits - Extensive deposits of metals and minerals. Valuable Mineral Deposits - Trace deposits of rare earth metals, predominately marble and variant quarries. Unique Materials - glassware, jewellery Agriculture - small livestock based, food shortage are seasonally common MILITARY Military Focus - Decent army and excellent navy, good infantry and cavalry ratio (5:1) Military Recruitment - Volunteer Force Military, additional levies in wartime Reliability - Levies are of decent quality, generals are fiercely loyal to the ruler Military Size - small core of elite units, relative to total population: requires some upkeep, easy to equip/supply quickly, seasonal levies Military Technology - Rapid Modernization, your nation does not lag behind the rest of the world, and even sets the standard on some levels. Military Training and Morale - Highly Trained; High Morale, levies are of good quality with high morale Military Leadership - Competent; Rose to their positions through experience and battlefield exploits; loyal Military Reputation - Popular domestically; considered small but dangerous by foreigners Siege Equipment - State of the art, seasoned corps of engineers and sappers; Loyal and capable

Rolling one strength/weakness is fine by me.

Military Recruitment - Volunteer Force Military, large component of mercenaries (3:1 ratio)
While I'm waiting. . . just wanted to clarify that the above means that I have a ratio of 3 mercs for every actual soldier in my army. If so then I can have a lot of fun with this.

@ethanjory The way that the cavalry ratio is counted leads me to believe it's the other way around.

You have 3 'domestic' soldiers for every 1 mercenary. Though, if everyone else is fine with that, you can up that ratio, either now or ingame. Having so many mercenaries is a ticking time-bomb and a strain on your economy and food production, not to mention the peace of your citizens.

Roll Please!
I'd say these rolls are for a militarised society. Would that work for you? ESSENTIALS Sparse Population (Population - 1,700,000) - Less manpower for economic and military purposes, but it also means that the social infrastructure isn't under much strain. Educational costs and civic projects tend to be cheap. Economy - Stagnation - The economy is performing adequately, though there is much room for improvement. There are certain limitations on the economy that are bottlenecking real growth, such as a lack of manpower or funds, tech limits. There is some unemployment and economic unhappiness among people, and there is a degree of criticism in what can go wrong, even if it hasn't gone wrong yet. Urbanisation - low: Small communities make up your nation, with regionally developed towns and one or two cities. Technology - Obsolete: The industrial level and domestic technology level of the nation lags behind, though that does not necessarily mean that the stuff it produces is bad, it's just old-style tech; milled and forging as opposed to high-heat ovens, more wood, leather than metal, etc, etc. Your artisans are skilled, but not educated. High technology production requires foreign training and foreign experts. Domestic Political Stability - Growing unrest GEOGRAPHY Largely consists of hills and mountains RESOURCES Mineral Deposits - Minimal deposits of metals and minerals. Valuable Mineral Deposits - Trace deposits of rare earth metals, predominately silver. Unique Materials - furs, pelts, precious stones Agriculture - cattle based, slight food surplus that is decreasing over time MILITARY Military Focus - Decent army, decent infantry and cavalry ratio (6:1) Military Recruitment - Forced Recruitment Reliability - Levies are of excellent quality, generals play politics Military Size - Large, relative to population: requires considerable upkeep, harder to equip/supply quickly. Military Technology - Obsolete, your nation lags behind, you are dependent on what you can buy, pillage or otherwise take from others Military Training and Morale - Badly Trained; High Morale, levies have medium morale but are bad at following orders Military Leadership - Incompetent; Corrupt Military Reputation - Unpopular domestically; considered huge but wild Siege Equipment - Outdated but effective, seasoned corps of sappers; Loyal and capable

Is there any particular world history you might want to mention before I get rolling on the history of my state? I've got a vague idea of what I want to do, but if I can mesh with some sort of overarching story that'd be even better. EDIT: And, on that note, if anyone wants to collaborate in some regard or have a pre-existing relationship then all the better.

I added a paragraph to the IC information section. Basically Tanis was once inhabited by another race/civilisation but they died out, and has since been colonised by dwarves, orcs, elves and men in turn.

I'd love to have an ally. My plan is to have a totalitarian atheist regime, so having an ally to start with is nice.

Looks interesting. If there's still space, I'd like a roll. Also, Flag Maker 1.7 is great for designing flags.

Civic projects range from affordable to expensive. The nation requires a stronger economy to sustain itself. Urbanisation - Semi-urbanised: There are several towns and a few cities present, ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand inhabitants. Technology - Slowly Modernizing: The industrial infrastructure is in the process of improvement, and this is a teething process.
