I love a villain that makes me despise them
 If a villain is too likeable then they're doing something wrong xD not saying Joker, Harley Quinn, The Master or villains with fanbases aren't villains but to me a real villain is able to make you build up some sort of trust in them, pose as a friend, helps the protagonist but eventually stamps on there hopes, dreams and goals.
That's when I feel like a villain has done his worst, because he planted himself into the story with a positive light and made you trust him but stabbed not only you but the protagonist in the back ^^
Though insane villains are fun too.
