Clowers is a seasoned auror, he respects the Dark Arts he way you'd respect your enemy: appreciates them, but won't associate with them. 

The whole school is also very wary about the subject, because a good portion of students(Jackson among them) were actively taught the use of dark arts two years ago.  
I'll post IC tomorrow, I worked this morning and I'll be in class basically the rest of the day.
