There reasons for implementing metaphors and story structure is pretty silly. I also saw the girl on Disney a Channel and I have to say she was far better in Supernatural lool. What irked me the most was the whole Abaddon deal. There were far better ways to implement her back into the story that didn't involve Dean and Sam being very, very stupid with a demon that they knew they couldn't kill by conventional means. I mean, what were they thinking? "Let's both leave this Lilith level demon alone by herself to answer a call we could deal with later." And Abbadon? By season 9 Demons are literally crawling around the earth all fucking willy nilly and they thought to cure Abaddon? Dafuq? Do they not remember what she did and does Sam not read enough lore to know who Abaddon is? That just mad me so damn mad. Goddammit.
And the whole thing with Dean turning into a demon. I was all set for a full season where he was the big bad guy that they had to stop from destroying the world and it would have been full of this whole moral crisis because he's Sam's brother but then it was like, nope he's cured, whatever. For the whole thing they completely killed off most of the side characters in preparation for the apocalypse in season 5 and after that didn't really introduce any new ones that stayed for more than a couple of episodes and it seems Sam and Dean are pretty much invincible. There's no real feeling of risk for the watcher anymore, they go in to battle something, what is Dean going to die, yes Dean is dead, an episode and a half later they've found some half assed way to bring him back to life with no repercussion whatsoever.
