Miss Katherine may I ask why sparing seems to be such a taboo? You said the rules of this role play could be debated if I'm correct and the use of our powers freely seemed to be the purpose of this camp.. to get to know others with abilities like ourselves and even come to use them in the open with out being ashamed... Sparing is the absolute best way to hone and learn control of our powers and I would recommend we do so often in order to exercise control and gain a balance with them in understanding their limits. Think X mansion That is what this has potential to be like.. more than a social place of gathering put a place that trains us and helps us to be more prepared for the outside world like An Unusaul City... whether the rule is abolished or not I don't care but an act of sparing is not a reckless and senseless fight so I just don't see how it is bending the rules..

You are very right but you have to consider the different species that would be represented. Each species would have their own rukes about sparing. It would be impossible to follow all of them.

The fun thing about sparing is that before we start the rules should be said. Maybe make that a rule and create an honer system for those who can be trusted to use thier powrrs responsibly. If we are than we can go to the dojo during our sport activity to spare instead but if we use our powers irresponsibly than we loose that privilage until we earn it back otherwise...

They're teenagers. Very few of them are responsible. Plus you still leave the laws and traditions problem.

1: laws and tradition is simple if worked out before the match begins. That will be the number 1 rule of the dojo. 2: I asked you to think like "X mansion" The purpose is not only to make friends but to discipline and teach us control and self control the dojo is an ideal way to do that. 3:we could also make it to where the dojo has it's own rules that every one must conform to witch is fair because the match would not support any one persons ideals...

The X mansion only had one species not several. There is little chance of everyone agree on rules. I have nothing against the idea. I'm crappy at writing that stuff. I dont want it taking over the RP. Get enough people who ate interested I'll include it.

I actually stink at writing fight scenes, so I don't really care if sparring is allowed or not. Anything I've written that may have stated otherwise is purely Devon's opinion.

This is actually my cup of tea. I can take care of any details... I have designed several dojo's that I would love to introduce to you guys and that you guys might enjoy... it will not be perfect at first but as we use it I can work out the kinks of it by observing the way things work out. And this will allow us to exercise our imaginations and our characters powers to there fullest...

Personally I don't mind either way, as long as using said dojo is optional. I don't tend to do fight scenes and such, especially when "powers" are involved, mainly because it makes it awkward to reign people in a little bit. I have no issue with one existing, but I, or Alex, personally, wouldn't use it.

Darn, I wasn't even thinking about using powers. Based in how I've handled sports events that allowed powers, though, I'm not really excited to fail at writing out a power fight with the characters I have in use.
