[*] A stand typically has one or more ability, that is what's meant by "stando power". The user has no power, but has direct control over the stand.
[*] Stands typically don't grant their users special powers, but I think there are instances where Jotaro (one of the protagonists) sorta overlaps his stand over his body, making his punches as strong as his stand's. I can't remember, but generally the stand has the power while the user just poses.
