Name: Valon Almecci. Title/Nickname: Wizard of the third circle. Age: 37. Gender: Male. Race: Human. Profession: Wizard. Equipment: Clothes: wizards robe (yellow and red), matching pointy hat, pointy shoes. Staff/walking stick and a book of magic. Background: Valon is the son of a rather successful merchant and was thanks to this able to study magic. his studies began at age 17 and during his second year he met Leyling (se “other”) hiding in a dusty corner of the library. Magic is a hard subject to study as it isn’t one thing, everyone has to find and define his or her own magic. At age 30 Valon had only managed to advance to the third level and was utterly bored. He dropped out, but stole a book of spells and has been travelling the world ever since. Pros: Can see things others can't, being a wizard carries some respect, Cons: Soft and squishy, terribly afraid of spiders. Other: Valon is not the best wizard in the world, nor can he ever claim that title. Although he has studies magic for almost twenty years he still has trouble with anything over the basic level. He can perform the basics (hurling a fireball, levitate, opening a door from afar) without too much trouble if he can take his time, but if he is under stress or have to perform a more advanced spell then things can go… weird. Pet:
Even in a world as strange and magic as this one a Leyling is a strange sight indeed. It is a small… Animal, about as large as a fist. It is covered in bright blue fur, about an inch long. It has no visible arms, legs, ears or tails. but there are eyes, surprisingly big for such a small creature, and a mouth that has two perfect rows of herbivore teeth (strangely enough) and a smooth tongue. The presence of teeth is a strange one indeed because the Leylings doesn’t seem to eat anything. Later research has determined that the little blue dust bunnies live off of residual magical energy, which would explain why most of them are attracted to mages and their study halls. They are extremely rare, and even a well-educated man such as Valon thought they were only myth until he actually met one. There is a collection of stories going around the desert about a man who was hungry enough to try and eat 12 Leylings on different days… Let’s just say you shouldn’t. Valon simply calls his little friend “Leyling” and the blue menace spends most of its time hidden away within his clothes or (if it feels safe) on his shoulder. During his adventures Valon fancies himself to have met men and women of every variant of magical ability, but Leyling has never left his side.
Valon isn’t nearly as incompetent as he thinks he is. He might even hold enough talent to become a Primagus (master within his order, or wizard of the ninth circle). The thing is, Leyling’s appetite is many hundred times bigger than it itself is (Although, where it puts it all is a question for the gods) and it tends to leave Valon with very little magical energy or at least with the energy in great chaos. Valon has no idea, and would probably not believe anyone if they told him. Leyling doesn't cling to Valon because of his "hidden potential", it just likes how Valons magic tastes.
