Here will be fine for now. I'm not entirely sure what Neo plans to do with the Characters tab.

I will say I'm holding applications open for a bit yet. Last time I got 30 for 8 slots, so I'm not expecting that kind of rush, but something close too it.

Name: Arthur Montgomery Age: 14 Gender: Male Hometown: Blackthorn City Appearance: Arthur has all the potential of a very handsome man in a very awkward body. Just beginning the in-between stage, he's still growing into what will one day become powerful shoulders and a strong back but, as a teenage, simply accentuate his late-coming growth spurts. Slightly short even for his age, he wears the sour expression of a young brat. Favoring heavy, baggy clothes and a beanie over his lank white hair, he slouches and generally shuffles his way along with poor posture and attitude. He is rarely seen without his headphones pumping out some tinny, angry musing from around his neck, and he often seems to cover about as much of himself as he possibly can at any given time. He does, however, have large scar on his nose where his aunt's Gyarados lashed him with its tail as a child. He is sensitive about it. Personality: Arthur is curmudgeon. In general he is quick to be snarky and sarcastic, as much a performance of his obvious teenage angst as anything else. Just old enough to feel slighted by his place in the world and not quite old enough to give in to existential ennui, he instead contents himself with traipsing about like a thundercloud and generally being a dramatic and obnoxious teenager. He swears a lot because he can until people snap at him enough, where he reverts to monosyllables and glowers. As a trainer he's a hardass, pretending very much to be one of those people that only cares about how strong a pokemon is or how well it will shore up their team. Still, the truth of the matter is that Arthur is a good, intelligent guy who just wants to feel like he's special. He's got a heart of gold under his tough shell, and he's always ready to step in and save the day (even if he says it's just to steal the glory). Profession: Pokemon Trainer Talents: Arthur is very good at reading people, seeing them for who they are instead of who they pretend to be. He's also a fair hand at pretty much everything about being a Pokemon trainer--how to handle a pokemon, help it reach its potential, whip it into shape and judge its strength. What he's poor at are the basic things, setting up camp and cooking his own meals. Inventory: 10 Pokeballs, a very warm sleeping bag, a one person tent, a change of clothes, a high-end .Mp3 player with studio-quality headphones, several pairs of shoes, pokemon food and grooming supplies, personal food and grooming supplies, a utility knife, rain gear, multi-tool and flashlight all in a high-end hiker's backpack. He also has card access to a bank account with $500 currently available from his parents/winnings. Starter Pokemon: Lv. 5 Axew "Lancelot" Biography: Arthur was going to be anything but a pokemon trainer. Pokemon ran in his family's blood. Though his mother, sister to Blackthorn City's own Claire, was a successful accountant every single one of his family members--up to and including Uncle Lance--were some form of badass pokemon trainer or another, and most of them with Dragon-types no less. Dragon-types like Auntie Clair's Gyarados (who wasn't even a real Dragon, anyway!) that slapped him in the face when he was five and left a messy scar on his nose, which made all of them pokemon non grata in young Arthur's book. About the only pokemon he tolerated was his Axew, Lancelot. Even then he and the proud, snarky creature dealt with each other as tersely as one could imagine two best friends were able. But there was always so much pressure to fight--it was all about whether or not Lancelot could beat up Remy's Goldeen, or if he was going to have the lizard focus on on wallbreaking or Dragon Dancing. Everybody just assumed he'd be a trainer without ever asking him, and his contrary nature insisted that he would be a plain, boring accountant out of spite. Over several years of this behavior, people began to lose interest and move on to greener prospects. If he didn't want to be a trainer than he didn't have to, though they would all of them admit to being a little disappointed. Except Auntie Clair, who wouldn't give up the ghost. Closer to Arthur than any of his other relatives, his Aunt kept the torch burning for young Arthur's budding career as a trainer and needled him about it at every opportunity. It was she who brought him to Unova during a conference on Dragon-Types and allowed him to pick out his Axew, hoping having a different dragon would help him get over whatever this thing he had about pokemon training was. She was quick to point out how well the other boys were getting on, even without a proper Dragon to raise and how he was wasting his potential on something as menial as accounting (even around his mother, who politely agreed and also politely over-salted her dinner). It was only when she got around to insulting Lancelot ("He's so scrawny!) that Arthur finally had enough. After years of this he finally, at fourteen, slammed his hands down on the table and marched upstairs to pack. Claire, of course, beamed like she'd won the lottery, but she wouldn't be for long. He'd wipe that smug look off her face when Lancelot wiped the floor with her stupid gyarados and its slinky dragonaire buddies.

Name: Daniel "Danny" Harrison Age: 14 Gender: Male Hometown: Slateport City, Hoenn Appearance: About 167 cm tall and relatively light skinned, Daniel is a young teenager who is always seen with a short-sleeved gray hoodie (though he hardly, if ever, keeps his hood up) and leg-loose khaki pants. He has a black armband with the Pokeball insignia on it. His appearance is rather plain; he combs his brown hair up and has black eyes. He also has a moderately sized satchel; his Pokeballs are stored on the sides of the pack. A PokeNav is strapped on his belt. Personality: A young teenager who prefers to remain active, Daniel never likes to stay in the background and always likes to get involved in everything...which is sometimes his flaw, since his curiosity and need to get into someone else's business can be annoying; conversely, he is rather stubborn and refuses to take help from anyone to "build his image". When not bothered, he makes noises or talks to himself– though this is just one of his few quirks that never actually bothers anyone. He sometimes appears out of nowhere with quiet steps, which can scare others. In fact, when things are less serious, Daniel likes to have a bit of light fun by pranking others and scaring them. Not surprisingly, his Litwick shares this same trait. He is aware when he's crossing the line, however, and puts safety above his own amusement. Daniel has a collection of pre-war bits which he brings along with him, preserved in a wooden box. In his past-time, he plays with his yo-yo or cards, and likes eating snack cakes. He is also interested in the supernatural and strange occurring of the world. He also loves exploring new places; in fact, that is what got him to the Johto-Kanto region. He intends to explore all the regions and see every town, city, and landmark. Profession: Pokemon Trainer. Talents: Daniel is an experienced card player and cartographer, and can do some magic tricks. Inventory: — $800 — 5 Pokeballs — 3 Potions — Journal — Sleeping Bag — Water Bottle — Pocket knife Starter Pokemon: — Litwick (Ghost/Fire), known as Inizio. Ability is Flash Fire. Biography: While Daniel was born in the bustling Hoenn city of Slateport, he had always been on the move due to his parents, who were Pokemon researchers and explorers themselves. After a few years of staying in the region, they were off to another one, and as a result, Daniel had just been interested in Pokemon as his parents was. Most people thought that with his dad's similar appearances and personality, he would have liked to use the same Electric-type Pokemon as he did. Though surprisingly, Daniel never liked his parents' scientific research, and liked the supernatural and strange, much to his father's disappointment, but he allowed Daniel to follow whatever interest he wanted, as long as he wasn't involved in it himself. Despite this, he had never really caught a Pokemon himself. Until his family took a trip to Undella Town. It was there that he had caught his first Pokemon, and there he would decide to become a Pokemon trainer. While traversing down the roads of Reversal Mountain by himself for some exploration, he had found a lost Litwick that seemed to be away from his original homeplace. Having little choice, he brought it back to the Poke-Center to heal, and attempted to take care of it himself. He had built a relationship with the rather playful thing and eventually had it stored in a Pokeball, though like most Trainers who had developed similar relationships, he hardly keeps his Litwick in it. He named it "Inizio", which meant "start" in a different language, to mark it as his first "caught" Pokemon. Later on they returned to Hoenn when he was 14 to settle down for a moment after their tiresome journeys, but Daniel now had a change of heart. Seeing many other Trainers around him, he decided to become a Pokemon Trainer as well. Although he lost frequently at first with his first few months, he loved the exciting battles and suspense along with it. On his 15th birthday, his parents finally decided that he could leave by his own, and gave him a ship ticket to Pallet Town, where he could officially start his own journey. Notes/Other: – Daniel usually writes letters to his parents every week.

Starter Pokemon: Tiberius (Tibbles in private), his Gible that loves to eat donuts
I just want to point out that Gible can evolve into a psuedo-legendary (Garchomp). "Pokemon Catching: I will allow a person's starting Pokemon to be any Pokemon from any region whatsoever as long as it is the first stage of an evolving Pokemon that is not a pseudo-legendary (no Dratinis or Larvitars)." ...The number of Ghost-type Pokemon are disappointing. There's only 4 in Johto-Kanto, or if we're using the HeartGold–SoulSilver version, 7.

Name: Jayce Ross Age: 20 Gender: Male. Hometown: Blackthorn City, Johto. Appearance: Jayce looks like a fairly young man that still resembles a bit like a teenager who is slowly developing. His hair has a brown shade to it and it is particularly straight. His skin is pale, even though he spends most of his time outside. His sideburns are slowly growing and since he left Johto he plans to leave them grow. He is quite tall, about 6'1. His eyes are chestnut colored, perfectly matching his hair. Personality: Although not a person who speaks much, he tends to bring up great ideas and enjoys helping others out of trouble. Quite shy AT FIRST, once he gains enough confidence in a group he can feel like he can talk freely to them. Profession: Trainer. Talents: He seems to get along perfectly well with Psychic, Ghost and Dark Pokemons. He perfectly understands them and has zero problem is controlling them. Inventory: -Regular Scouting backpack. -$4500 that he won in a bet. -2 Pokeballs, 1 Great Ball, 1 non-functional Ultra Ball and one Premier White ball that he will never use since it's a present from his deceased grandmother. -Mouth-organ. -Bottle filled with apple juice. -3 feathers of a Ho-Oh that he wears on a necklace around his neck. -Several clothes to keep himself clean. -Enough healing products to take care of his Pokemon(s). -5 well-packed sushi sets that his mother cooked for him and his Pokemon. -10 lava cookies. -Town map. Starter Pokemon: Male Natu named Enigma. Biography: Jayce grow up in a family of Psychic and Ghost trainers. Ever since he was young his grandmother would always tell him about her oddysseys filled with Alakazam, Gengars, Misdreavus and other Pokemons. He was fascinated with that. That was his goal, to grow up and travel around the Regions with psychic Pokemons. It was a huge stab in the heart when his grandmother passed away when he was 17. For 2 years, he spent his time alone, in his room. Doing nothing more than planning his next trip. Ocassionally, he would go around Johto, getting directions and making new maps. His goal was to accomplish what he told his grandma: he would travel across every region, searching for those special Pokemons he loved so much. When he turned 20, he kissed his mother goodbye once she had helped him with his bag and left to Kanto to start his Pokeadventure in the craddle of the great Champions. Notes/Other: He got the feathers from the Ho-Oh when he tried to capture it. One day he found one when he was walking up a small hill. The Ho-Oh knocked the ball out of the way, leaving three rainbow feathers flying towards the ground. Since that day he has promised to himself that he will catch a Ho-Oh.

It's sort of because Ghost-type Pokemon were hardly worked upon before Gen III. Only on Gen IV and V did they pretty much double the size of that category and do some buffs and nerfs. Three-quarters of Ghost-type Pokemon exist in Sinnoh and Unova. :P They haven't worked much with the Ice-type Pokemon, either.

Name: Katherine "Kat" Isabelle McKenzie Age: 17 Gender: Female Hometown: Pallet Town Appearance: An orange bob decorates her head, standing like a fireball over her shoulders, an image further detailed by red highlights of various lengths, so oily and shiny that they seem to drip color. Her skin is fair, but accented by a pseudo-beige farmers tan, marking areas covered by bracelets, tall socks, and sometimes high-waters. She has a boxy sort of face with a smoothed nose, and a field of fiery freckles that burst over the bridge of her nose, extending to the extremities of with cheek. She has a slender physique, not outstandingly shapely, but fully developed. Typically she wears the colors orange, red, yellow, or white. A tide-dye shirt isn't an unheard of, but she typically will wear a unicolor T-shirt with a grey hooded jacket on top of it. On her lower half, she will likely wear a pair of loose-fitting cargo pants with a tone matching a Reese's cup wrapper. Her socks are the sort that purposefully do not match, and she wears sneakers, white with orange stripes. Personality: She is vivacious and outspoken, seemingly unflappable and genuinely brave. She enjoys a challenge, yet feels irritated towards any successful competitors. While deep down she does care about other people, she has grown accustomed to looking out for number one. She is the type to steal from the rich, and maybe consider giving to the poor when she's had her fun. Ambitious, headstrong, and uncontrollable, she lacks discipline and a common respect for her elders. She is volatile and unstable, with anger that bubbles up like a volcano on a regular basis. Having been rejected so many times, she feels like a lost soul. Truly though, she just wants to be loved. Profession: Trainer (Surprise, Right?) Talents: Pickpocketing, Agility, Physical Conditioning, and General Resourcefulness. Inventory: $1,300 Cash, 1 Backpack, 1 Can of Air Freshener, 1 Lighter, 2 Multitools (the second is a backup), 1 Notepad (gridded), 5 Pens, 3 Pokeballs, 5 Potions, 1 Sleeping Bag, 4 Diamond Rings, and a variety of ill-gotten goods at any time. Starter Pokemon: Female Vulpix Lv. 5, named Reyna. Biography: Her father had initially been a wealthy investor, descended from a long line of businessmen, but poor decision making and a high stress life-style led him down a course of misery. Ivan Ruiz ended up impregnating a party-animal and nine months later, Katherine McKenzie was born. Her mother and father had disputes over who would have custody so much that the young child had mental breakdowns early on. Despite all the fighting over who'd take care of her, her needs were never met and she developed a very unstable personality. When Kat was eight, her mother gave up on her completely and ran away, never to be heard from again. But her body was found, ripped apart, autopsy revealed that her undoing had been the handiwork of a Ninetails. Her case was hardly investigated, and justice had never been found. In the full custody of her father, she imagined that her mother had been killed by criminals, and quickly developed a conspiracy theory linking together the government, legendary Pokemon, local crime, and a few ancient civilizations. The years blew by and hours of therapy provided by an increasingly reclusive father whittled away at her psychosis, leaving her significantly healthier from a mental aspect, but with countless surface level scars. Her father slipped into alcoholism, severe to the point he sent her to live with his mother, her wealthier grandmother. Despite having been surrounded by money growing up, luxuries had never been extended to her before. Contrarily, her grandmother provided Kat's every request, almost spoiling her. Much more attentive than either parent had been, her grandmother cemented a place for herself in Kat's heart. Then she died. Before leaving her deceased grandmother's home though, she raided the jewelry box, emptying it into her own bag before she went away. Kat went berserk, as a ward of the state she was shipped from orphanage to orphanage, fluttering between foster homes before finding freedom. Mr and Mrs. Alto, a young couple, gave her both attention and freedom. After it was requested, she was allowed to go on a trip to find herself, protected by Pokemon. As a sort of psychological quirk, she decided that her first Pokemon would belong to the same species as the one that killed her mother. So she purchased a baby Vulpix before finding her way to Pallet Town.
