The...bite? It was a surprise. I had felt it a few times before, but this time it was unexpected in its swiftness, the pain shooting right through my leg and poking out the other side. My mass evaporating in a small cloud as my shell healed around the end of...huh... So, I pull this trinket out of my leg, the tip shimmering with a baneful resonance. A drop of water falls upon my face as I turn to look where the shot came from. My curls reach him in moments, his pulse racing as I felt the adrenaline race in his vigorous veins. What was his plan? He was alone, that I knew of, and his idea was to shoot a demon in the leg with...this? It may have been a good idea on the greater threat, although such a trinket...well, I may keep it. I found it elegant in its design, despite how it had just been used against me. I pull the bolt from my shin and held it up as I carry my shell to his perch. Receding back into the shell and using the momentum to carry myself onto the building some 10 meters away, I did my best to not scare him into jumping to his death...or worse. "I do not think we have been acquainted..." I hiss, twirling the short stem of the bolt between my fingers before 'sheathing' it in my sash. "Since you seem to know what you are doing, I will insist that you introduce yourself, first" starting as I approach him, aware of the fragility of the human frame. If this was what I was to expect whenever I entered a city, I would be certain, too-- never again. For now, there was business to attend to. "Now, I am going to strangle you to death when I reach you...which I will. I want you to convince me not to, before I reach you" I continue, my voice calming as I noisily crack my knuckles.
