As the alarm went off in his room, Roland turned in his bed trying to locate the alarm with blurry eyes as he awoke. Once he found it and shut it off, he opened his bedroom curtain to see a bright light of yellow sunshine hit him in the face, clarifying that morning had arose. Afterwards, he decided to take a real quick shower so he could get clean and woke up better before going to school, ensuring that he was awake and aware to what would happen, and what could happen. After his shower, he dressed himself and grabbed his journal out of his top drawer then presumed out of his room and headed out the door. He stopped at the front door for a moment to call out to Steven who took a little longer than expected to be ready to go. “Hey Steven! Come on man, we’re going to be late if you don’t hurry!” As Steven ran downstairs and tried to put on a jacket while doing so, he replied to Roland. “Ok, all right. Let’s get out of here.” As Steven made his exit and Roland closed the door behind both of them, they began making their way to school, and while doing so, Roland opened up his journal to begin his morning writing. Roland’s morning summary, Wednesday Another morning, another school day. One that leaves me with a challenge to get a certain someone to actually sit down and cooperate with me. I need to remember that in order for me to get an actual conversation with you know who, I need to be somewhere that seems lonesome and peaceful, seeing that she likes these type of settings. But I also need to make sure that I can get her to trust me, making sure that she can come up and talk to me without worry or hesitation, because no one else seems to be trying due to they all think she’s a joke. That’s how it usually ends up on someone’s first day of school. Present yourself different than everyone else, and you mark your name as an outcast. Kind of reminds me when I first started school back when I moved here………. As Roland’s past childhood was mentioned to himself, his memories as a child came intact as he saw in his mind of an incident that occurred when he was just a little boy. Before he could go deeper into thought, Steven called out his name. “Roland! ……Roland? …..HEY!?” As Roland shook his head quickly, his mind had come back to reality and to the current predicament, and as he looked down at his journal he decided that what he wrote would be good enough for a morning passage as he closed it up. After doing so, Steven asked him another question before arriving at school. “Roland……you ok?” As Roland looked over to Steven, he smiled and replied to ensure that everything was fine. “I’m fine Steven, I’m just thinking that’s all.” And just after everything was said, they made their way into school.
