"I better get back before my mother realizes I'm not home," she said, carefully lifting the cub. "She will have a fit when she sees this little guy, but he needs to be taken care of." She looked at Jube with a smile. "I'm glad you're okay, Jube." With that, she headed out, back into the woods so her mother wouldn't see her.
