[@duck55223] Having reviewed Italy's resources, it looks like I'm in a predicament. I wanted a kind of "Last Samurai" style kingdom, with people against modernisation, whilst at the same time they're increasingly pressured into engaging with it. 

Other than marble, I've got nothing. Haha. 

Obviously it's my own fault for not researching, but the Italian peninsula looked like an ideal place to situate my kind of nation - given the region's political diversity and history of turbulence. 

Would it be possible therefore, for me to claim that Mount Vesuvius and Mount Etna harbour large reserves of burū sekitan, that I can sell to other nations... and when I say sell, I mean lease the land to them so that they can extract it? If nothing else, it would make my nation kind of strategical to outsiders. 

IF not, then that's fine. I'll enjoy playing a King who is forced to concede to the one thing he hoped to destroy :D
