Much as Devourer can get overly sensitive and unnecessarily emotional about these things at times (you see she got into FiM back during a time where she was contemplating suicide, and the show helped her dig herself out of that pit, so the whole thing's a heavy topic for her. This was before I myself met her), I don't think, Lee, that there's any need to keep pressing the issue after Chao has refused to link her old pony OC's profile. Not that she could if she wanted to considering she long since deleted it, but anyways... Also, I tend to think that using image macros in forum threads is very poor form too, but that's just a personal taste thing. It just seems like forums should operate on at least a marginally more formal level than an imageboard. But maybe that's just me. Beyond that, I don't think it's unreasonable that we agree to keep the literary criticism to what's actually contained within the thread. The OC in question was created a number of years ago and whether or not you would consider it a Mary Sue (I personally don't. Most of the criticism leveled at the character was extremely superficial related almost solely to the character's appearance, particularly with those trolls who reposted her character's image to "worst OC evar!" type blogs out of context and without permission, and yes there are MULTIPLE pony blogs on that topic), DoL's creative writing and handle on literary techniques has improved significantly since then, and therefore using that OC as a baseline to judge DoL's competency as a writer now would lead to ill-informed conclusions in any case. Granted, you guys only have my word to take for that... Back on topic, I'm sorry to hear that your computer screwed you over (or got screwed over? Dunno if it was a virus or the computer's own problems), Lee. Don't sweat the pictures. They're not vital and we should all be perfectly capable of describing our characters' appearances, fancy poses and so forth. :3
