Just as Sylus had finished speaking with Uriel, the room began to shrink. Sylus felt more and more uncomfortable the smaller it became, panic beginning to set in. Claustrophobia was the bane of his existence. The walls closing in triggered vivid recollections of past nightmares, in which he could feel every bone in his body breaking as he was crushed by four walls, the blood flow to his limbs being cut off, the pain unbearable... but instead of dying, he was teleported right back to his seat in the auditorium. Sylus exhaled slowly in a sigh of relief. While I'm sure there was some greater point to all of that, I swear to the gods that Ler-briar likes messing with his pupils far too much. sylus scanned the room, green eyes sweeping analytically over the other students. in front of him several first years were injured, shaken up or in some state of disarray or other. He frowned at this, but the frown subsided once he realized most of them seemed alright at first glance. It's good to see that Uriel and I weren't the only ones who didn't fight, but it still seems a good portion of us did. As he continued scanning the room, he couldn't help but notice that one of the first year females was... completely naked. Gods above... isn't there a rule against that sort of exposure here? What on earth was she doing in there that required... oh. On second thought, I might be better off not knowing. In a miraculous feat of self control, he tore his eyes away from the sight of her as there were more pressing matters at hand. Namely, he hoped someone would explain the point of what the entire student body had just been subjected to. He relaxed in his seat, half tempted to light his tobacco pipe and settle in for a smoke after that ordeal, but this wasn't the time. He focused his attention towards the stage in hopes that all would be explained.
