Ray listened carefully to the student explanation of the game. In all truthfulness, it was a simple game, but he there was always a catch to these things. Ray was a logical thinker, by using logic, there was no hiding the fact that the student could cheat, or use other means to win. It was obvious when the man mentioned beting. Ray did not want to turn down the man's offer, he need to make friends, he also did not want to lose all his "money", or any of it. Ray smiled and picked a card from the middle of the deck instead. "Alright, I'll take from the middle instead." He said plainly. He knew that choosing from the bottom meant nothing, but he would rather be on the "safe side". It was an Ace, a rare card in a deck, but the man could have chosen to jinx the deck. He then took the deck and shuffled the card himself, he slipped all the Ace's insides the back, into his sleeve. It would have been unnoticeable, even to a trained eye. He then gave the man back his cards. "I'll bet 7,000 Yen." He said sternly. It was about half of what he had on him in case. He placed the money in front and waited for the man to begin.
