When the teacher, Kurogane-sensei came to the podium to speak, Shizuka grabbed her face in embarrassment. "He's...so hot!" she thought to herself, I hope he's our homeroom teacher! Ah, but he's not going to pay any attention to a weird otaku girl like me. No! I'm not an otaku, I just have...different tastes..." When Kurogane-sensei finished the first part of his speech and the fangirls started calling out his name, Shizuka kept quiet, as the sheer amount of rivals made her feel even more so that her chances were nigh impossible. When Hoshira-sensei was introduced, Shizuka was at first a bit repulsed by her strange skin color, but Kurogane-sensei reminded everyone to disregard outward appearances, which she took to heart, "That might mean that Sensei will look past my otaku tendencies!" Though back to the ceremony, Shizuka thought about how she felt about magic users, and came to the conclusion that unlike other people of Academy City, she had nothing against magic users, it was an unusual quirk of how her parents raised her, to tolerate people of faith, even if you might think they were irrational. When members of Judgment were called up, Shizuka noticed that there were a lot of good looking boys, but when Ria was called up, Shizuka was reminded where she had heard Kurogane Kiyoshi before, as one of the Level 5's, few people hadn't heard his and Ria's names. Looking at Ria's cool elegance, Shizuka wondered if they could be friends. As a level 2, Shizuka had a strange mixture of jealousy and awe when she thought about level 5's, she assumed most of them were arrogant, but then again, they had a right to be. But she was sure they couldn't all be like that, and hoped Kurogane-sensei and Ria were not. Maybe if she 'Leveled Up', she could gain their respect, after all, that's what she was here for.
