[@Cyclone] That is beautiful, hopefully the trade profits will be too! [@Terminal] What kind of incense do you have? They are a vital part of my religion but I prefer for my priests and shrine maidens not to get high during festivals. There should be some "NPC" city-states like they do in Civ 5 and some of them are literally run by criminals.
Ah, well, that's just it you see. You may have noticed that 100% of the Fulmen Nati population is listed as being Effulgent (worshiping the foremost god of the Nati pantheon). The reason for that is because the Priesthood uses hallucinogenic incense that induces suggestibility in order to sway the masses. Combine that with charismatic Priests spewing out Inspiring Divine Mythos, and you've got a bunch of converts. Then multiply by thousands of years of religious heritage and cultural tradition. The actual problem here is that it's the Apricor Scholars who make the incense, the Free Family wouldn't be involved. If you wanted access to this stuff, you need to play ball with the Priesthood. They're apathetic to other religions - they accept the existence of other pantheons and gods, but they are predominantly concerned with spreading the influence of their own. A bit of a gamble, yeah?
