Besides that, Brand was just about a legendary archer, and the brood tends to follow suit. At the very least, the ones that tried to learn are going to be pretty competent, if not experts themselves. 

Anyway, if someone wants to write a response post, perhaps an interrogation is in order. I imagine the goon they grabbed would know that their employer is the Countess and so forth.

The mercs they fought were under the banners of the Lost Sons, not precisely one of the best companies out there, but with a decent enough reputation.
