March 5,2020:

As you attempted to stop, or at the very least, slow the ship down you began to realize it wasn't enough. Fortunately you weren't alone in the skies, it seems that someone much more powerful happened to have some free time, and showed up to lend his help. A blur of red and blue raced through the skies, and under the mother-ship. The clouds in the wake of this streak parted, revealing even more of the night sky. Suddenly you felt as if a great burden was being lifted, quite literally, as the ship slowly began to steady, and in a few moments was set down onto a small island off the shore. The being flew back up to you, and the first thing you noticed was a giant 'S' shield, much like superman's; but this person seemed to be far younger, a Superboy if you will. "I would have been here earlier, but it seems all us 'super' people are busy these days." The boy quickly turned his head to the distance. "Like right now." Superboy then disappeared as quickly as he came, presumably towards Metropolis, the home of his older counterpart. To Everyone: Every civilian on the streets, or behind a television set, in Jump City were glued in place as the red and blue blur saved them all. They couldn't tell who it was, Superman? Supergirl? But it didn't matter, the ship was stopped from crashing into the city, the aliens were gone, and that's all that matters. People gave cheers of joy as the being zoomed in and out of their city. Various cheers could be heard, mostly people just voicing their happiness or supporting whom they had assumed had saved them.
