I had been standing near the back of the boat with a suitcase and an archery case. I looked around the boat and noticed that a boy was sick and was vomiting over the side of the ship. I was going to go over and offer some medication for seasickness. I had never been on a boat, so my mother bought it for me as a precautionary measure. But, before I had the opportunity to go over and offer it, I was shocked by the sudden appearance of land. "W-Whoa..." I said, momentarily stunned, I walked to the opposite side of the boat and looked at the land. I rubbed my eyes, trying to see if this was just an illusion, I pinched myself to see if I were dreaming. Neither worked, the forest was still around us. I smelled smoke and looked up at the burning trees. "O-Oh no..." I muttered, I looked around at the crew concerned. No one was doing anything. I couldn't do anything either... I didn't exactly have a way of extinguishing the flames. I suddenly lurched forward as the boat seemed to have hit something, or scraped against it. "W-What was that?" I asked, looking around. The ship must've hit something... but what could that have been? I mean... we're in a river, if there were a large rock, surely we would have seen it, or the crew would have been aware of such a thing if they used this route often. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my gut.
