Vera didn't turn around immediately. She took a few moments to react. Her stillness ended with her wiping her eyes, rubbing her face, and taking a deep breath to level her mood. "The children generally have classes until the mid afternoon. I only teach them in the morning." Vera took one more deep breath through her nose and turned to walk to the door. Her face was still red with emotion, but her expression was more blank, trying to settle herself. She avoided eye contact with Kaleeth to keep herself from feeling shameful. "I give them some material to practice with in their own time. Mostly the older children. Any further practice is only done if they want, but they prefer to spend time playing and socialising. I don't blame them, I was the same at their age." Once she reached the door, Vera reached her arm out and pulled at something on the other side of the door frame. A small but loud bell began chiming and she cupped her hand to call out into the halls. "Come now, children! Time to come back to class!" As much as she tried to hold her cut shut, Sabine trailed a few droplets of blood as she and Meesei found a space for their lesson. The pain was such that Sabine was having some trouble even listening to Meesei. However, the information was important enough that she was still able to take it all in. The concepts of healing and pain were something that Sabine was marginally familiar with via her alchemy, but magical healing was going to be more detailed. She could tell that much. Trying herself to see the pain through magical means was not obvious at first, especially since the real feeling of pain was far more prevalent to her senses. There was a disturbance as Meesei said, though the subtlety made it difficult to pinpoint. In an attempt to see it better, Sabine took Meesei's advice and incised a shallow cut into the side of her hand with her dagger. Seeing the pain develop in real time with her magic, and with a less painful wound, made the effect much clearer. Despite the success, Sabine was rushing herself. "I see it. It's hard to see, but I see it," Sabine looked up at Meesei, her hands shaking slightly. "The pain is making it hard to think. Can you please heal me now?"
