Jack remained where he was staring down the kid who felt all mighty. "You are soon going to realize that you made a mistake" He whispered. He glanced at the boys glowing book, and took a couple of steps back. He knew that if they were to battle, his motivation would not last. An idea popped into his head. He whispered the plan to Mysterion, who was somewhere, but close enough to hear hopefully. Mysterion was not alarmed by the sudden change of events. He knew that psychotic mamodo from the world before, and was not surprised that she wanted him gone. He heard Jack's plan, and for once, it was a good one. This plan was not something he would do back in the other world, but with Jack with him, he was hindered, like a dog on a leash. He floated out of the bushes and moved in between Jack and the other boy, facing the mamodo."Shamaroo!" Jack whispered softly in a shaky voice. Mysterion again wondered how this would help with that amount of emoti- Suddenly Mysterion felt a great surge of energy and he cast the spell throwing his hands up, a black wall of smoke that was as thick as a black whole, devoid of light, full of darkness. Mysterion rememberd the plan before he got too distracted by Jacks power. He shot backwards away from the wall, deeper into the forest. Jack ran once he cast the spell, knowing it would only last about 10 seconds but give them time to get away and re-evaluate, and train more. He never enjoyed training, and he did not do it most of the time. Mysterion would always give him a look of, well, since his face was covered with a veil of impenetrable black smoke he never knew quite what look Mysterion was giving him. Jack guessed it was disappointment or maybe encouragment? His thoughts were interrupted as he came upon a drop, falling and rolling down a 20 foot steep incline. Leaves were scattered among the hill, making his fall not exactly graceful, but not too painful either. He came down with a thump, his head slamming into something solid, and he blacked out. Mysterion caught up to Jack and saw him disappear out of thin air. He stopped, his cloak still trying to move forward, and walked more carefully. He took a couple of slow steps and his foot slipped, and he reeled back to keep from falling. Mysterion stepped down onto the hill, the foliage thick, and slid down, looking as if he were sliding on ice. He reached the bottom, his foot hitting something. Mysterion knelt down and grabbed the strange object. He pulled it up lightly, and found it was Jacks arm. He felt Jacks pulse...still alive.. he wheezed. When he talked it sounded like air being let out of an inflatable pool. Mysterion covered up Jacks body with leaves, and walked on, deeper into the forest...
