Piper smiled, glancing into the sun through dimmed aviator glasses that matched her leather pants and blue top very well. Her lucky leather jacket restricted some movement, especially when she raised her hands, but that didn’t matter – she looked amazing. An unlit cigarette hung from her lips, just to add to the cool factor – her precious teeth can’t suffer, now can they? Biting her lip, Piper nudged Sawyer. Sawyer frowned but her eyes remained on the magazine in her hands. Sawyer was dressed classier than her sister – a white t-shirt, loose jean overalls, and fishnet stockings underneath paired with her favorite blue converse. Wavy red hair flowed down her front, framing her face and accentuating her pale skin. Though it was not noticeable, both sisters were slathered in sunscreen, protecting them from the summer sun. “I’m bored, Sawyer.” Piper whined, leaning her head backwards and feeling the sun hit the thick sunscreen on her face. “Pay attention to me.” “Mm-hm, that’s nice.” Sawyer hummed, flipping over another page of National Geographic’s Life of Gorillas. Ever since she touched the Gorilla – funny story – she’s been reading up. They’re the strongest primate. Native to Africa. Herbivores. Piper found it increasingly boring – who cares? Why not trial-and-error it? Piper figures that Sawyer will figure things out sooner or later. But Sawyer was dedicated; all of her life, she’s lived in Highroller Heights, living day to day taking care of everyone. Sawyer’s life has been a boring lull from the get-go, and now that she could have a sense of adventure, she was going to do it right. The redhead was going to live life to its fullest at Academy 218 and that was that. “I’m bored, Sawyer. Do something.” Piper hissed in aggravation, pinching her sister’s leg. Anger contorted Sawyer’s face and her nose scrunched in an animalistic snarl, “Oh my god! You are so annoying!” Piper rolled her eyes. She was less than enthusiastic to be going to Academy 218. Leave all her friends, her entertainment, and have to work so hard to be not-bored? Thanks Obama. With her sister ignoring her and no one to keep her company, Piper took to people-watching. In the distance there was a stegosaur of a girl holding up a blonde girl, some kid was throwing up over the edge of the boat, and – “Well, hello.” Piper smiled, her eyes zeroing in on a boy and a girl that could only be siblings, one with a guitar swung over his back. “I’m leaving, Sawyer.” She said, standing up and waving two fingers at her sister. “Play nice.” Sawyer muttered, not looking up from her book, even though she was itching to do something and her leg kept jiggling from restlessness. Piper approached the duo on buoyant feet, her straight blonde hair flouncing and her sunglasses pushed to her head, her bangs temporarily removed from her forehead. “Hello! I’m Piper Babinski.” She introduced, holding out a pale hand to the duo, not caring who shook first. “And you guys are…?”
