Water. Earth. Air. Fire. The elements in order of their discovery for the Sagahin. A potion to breathe in water, or a magical spell to do so, something not developed by the Sagahin but the magi of the other races. What had always managed to intrigue Sagahin Scholars was the fact that magic tended to bend the laws of reality. Magic was, in a way, convincing the universe it was far more simple to change itself than to not. As such, it may have been possible to create a spell which allowed Sagahin to breathe air as water. But to convince the universe to let a fish breathe air was difficult, far more difficult than letting a human breathe water. No one really knows why. Perhaps the universe merely preferred its fish in the water in fear of cosmic balance being disrupted. Oh right, time for social interactions. In such a case, applying the theory of most probable projected phenomena, this would either end poorly or rather quite well for the Sagahin who had seemed to catch his breath a bit by now. Given his preceding failure at interaction with the Bartender, and the awkwardness of the Kobold's earlier attempt to make a stand for the Sagahin's single bronze, applying the theory mentioned in the earlier post, given the wall did actually break a bit by the arrival of the second ogre through the doorway. As such, we'd conclude that the joint misfortunes should result in these two characters becoming kindered spirits with one another by direct juxtaposition of their respective Rolls. Oh wait, I mean roles. Wait, who am I supposed to be? "A pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Robert was it?" Yes, a handshake was socially acceptable, although how the kobold would react to the slightly slimy grasp of webbed claws taking his own would be up to the air. That being said, a brief but firm shake was given, surely the sign of something between them. A joint kinship in sympathy, and perhaps more later on to be foreshadowed. "and I must say I do most certainly appreciate the gesture." There was a moment of awkward silence. There was a Seqway misisng, or rather perhaps a segue. Oh wait, no there was one cutway in the form of another who seemed to sympathize with his situation and offered to create a much better comeuppance for the barkeep. A troll this one, in black. Most likely another stranger, who was rather good at keeping his head down when it suited him, but seemed to know a thing or two about being intimidating as the barkeep let this fish, err troll, go. It was odd really, it was as if he would have gone completely unnoticed by in large if it were not for this sudden interruption by this stranger. It was as if someone was far too busy in thought and just managed to check in time that another person had stepped in between the Kobold and himself. The crack by the doorway of the wall seemed to enlarge ever so slightly as the wall became to crumble. "I thank you as well my friend." The Sagahin graciously accepted the water and drank another much needed glass. "Friends, allow me to introduce myself. My name is R'lyeh. I am a S'Augwin researcher, doing field work in terrestrial biology. Unfortunately my research notes had just been stolen by some uncouth human tricksters who murdered my assistants and robbed me blind to this present state. I also appear to be slightly lost, dare I ask you for the name of this Kobold settlement? My maps were stolen along with the rest of my research gear, well not that they would probably be highly accurate based on the sources they came from but..." He drifted about, looking at the brown-scaled Kobolds and comparing the differences in anatomy between them and his acquaintance. "Your kobold scales are blue. The S'Augwin would call you Wasskal, Water-scale. May I call you this? and to my other companion here, may I ask of your name?" A sudden change of topic.
