Running across the bridge Talan watched as the forest became frenzied. Animals lunging into the river below to escape the flames. He thought about doing the same but not long after the waters became rough and surviving the current could be trouble. Over the noise of the crashing waves he could hear Rhea call out to him, "Are you insane? Who is that?!" Talan stopped not because he heard her but because he saw the flames behind Kituo and the figure within the blaze. Growing up he was told of stories about spirits of fire that would kill you if angered. Could this be the reason for the forest fire? Did they anger this fire spirit? It didn't matter because it began to run on all fours and to Talan's surprise it became a panther! "I hate this forest...", he muttered to himself before turning to Rhea. "I know the one who carries that lantern, he is not a Kith", Talan wasn't sure if Rhea believed him and before she had time to answer he continued saying "I trusted you now it's time for you to do the same!" Talan began to wave for Kituo for him to run over to them. He wouldn't stay long as the fire was still approaching, he waited for only a moment before leading Rhea towards the purple light on the other side of the bridge. This was when he was out of ideas. Another human could be seen approaching them from the opposite end of the bridge but this person he was not familiar with. If it was a Kith he'd take his chances as he'd rather fight a Kith than be engulfed in fire. The gods truly have forsaken this place. He hadn't been running for long when an intense blue light originating from the water has illuminated the bridge and he caught a glimpse of the figure approaching from the purple light. It was a woman, at least it looked like a woman, Talan had no idea what a Kith really looked like. He glanced back to see if the fire spirit was still pursuing them but it had vanished. "One less problem to be concerned with at least", he said aloud although he wasn't sure if Rhea heard that.
