The feeling of certain...assets pressing against his chest certainly helped him keep his mind aware, and just as he was about to ask her what she was doing, the girl began to talk. The feeling of a girl hugging him so close, and whispering close to his ear, wasn't something he had ever experienced in his lifetime - but Kazuto made sure to keep his mind and body focused on her words, his knuckles popping as he gripped the wooden handle of his axe tighter within his fist. Her words...were true. He was a boy...a boy that had killed someone that often came to his home...but he had done the boy a mercy, hadn't he? The boy had been begging for it. He had protected the boy's sanity...and he had protected Aura. Aura's uncle was right...he had to protect those closest to him, no matter the cost. He would fight through an entire army of these things...if it meant protecting the people around him. "Thank you...Aura." His dull brown eyes had just turned into their normal brown color when Aura received a phone call. With a silent, tension-relieving sigh, Kazuto stood on steady legs, eyes turning determined as he stared down at his bloodied knuckles. Glass was still embedded into the flesh, and the pain was a reminder...a reminder that he was still alive, and that he would continue to protect everyone, until his dying breath. Listening to Aura with one ear, Kazuto walked over to a nearby workbench, resting the axe on the hard surface. "Bandages...bandages..." He muttered, glancing around. Sure enough, there was a few first-aid kits on the wall. Grabbing one, he opened it up, quickly grabbing a few alcohol wipes, and a roll of white bandages. Taking the shards out wasn't painful, nor was wiping the dozens of small cuts down with the alcohol-covered napkins. Wrapping his right hand with the bandages, Kazuto paused, before wrapping the other hand with bandages. It would help to avoid any other splinters or glass-shards. He worked quickly and efficiently, already familiar with the process due to doing the same thing countless times before and after Kendo matches. He had just finished when the knockings came. "Wh-" Kazuto cut himself off from his annoyed growl, swiftly turning around with the fire-axe clutched in his hands. He didn't know if the undead could knock, but- Ah, it was Kaito, judging by the voice. Kazuto watched from the work-bench as Aura opened and closed the door, after pulling the two in. "Nice to see you're alive." Kazuto smirked at Kaito, sitting his fire-axe back down on the bench. Going back to what he was doing, as Aura introduced herself, Kazuto took off his blazer-jacket, leaving him in a short-sleeved white t-shirt. Grabbing the roll of bandages, he began wrapping them up his wrists and biceps. It was a nice action, so that he could both protect himself from infection, minor injuries, while also gathering his thoughts together. Aura certainly helped earlier, but his mind was still a bit...fragmented. He needed to get it together, and fast.
