Ritual Studies, Lecture Hall Ukatan University Louise
Louise barged into the lecture hall and quickly shut the door behind her. She was breathing hard, out of breath. After a moment of pause she looked up tentatively. Just outside a group of people gathered for a moment, conferred amongst themselves in a hurried, near frantic fashion before running off in another direction. Louise smiled with the satisfaction of knowing that she had eluded capture once again, not only because she was well practised at avoiding such trouble but because she had invoked certain…measures…to avoid pursuit. She waited a second longer to make sure that no one was doubling back before reaching her hand around the door and pulling a piece of paper from the other side, one that she had placed there on the way in. Her work done she turned around and started to march into the lecture room, scrunching the paper into a wall and throwing in over her shoulder into the bin by the door. Only then did she realize that she was a little late, rather than a little early. The lecture had already started. Feeling no embarrassment she went through the motions anyway as a show of humility, apologising profusely as she made her way to a seat near the front of the sparsely filled lecture hall. For a moment she considered trying to explain her entrance, however she suspected that her reputation may have somewhat proceeded her and rather than insult the lecturers intelligence she said nothing about it. What he didn’t know about her he would learn in time, she was sure. Since there was no one sat beside her as of yet she threw her legs up onto the adjacent chair, shuffled a little to make herself comfortable and pulled out a notebook from her bag, its surfaces covered with all manner of alchemic symbolism. She smiled innocently at the lecturer as if she had been waiting patiently there the whole time.
