When Kotone awoke, she couldn’t quite process what she was seeing at first. Understandable, really. It wasn’t every day you found yourself stuck in what seemed like an endless expanse of sky. She sucked in a breath as she sat up, staring out at the surreal landscape… Skyskape? Ugh, who cared? Where was she, anyway? She shifted awkwardly, hands patting the ground around her, relieved to feel a course surface under her palm. At least she wasn’t floating in space somewhere. So standing shouldn’t be a problem, right? Mercifully, the ground seemed stable enough, at least what she could tell from her good leg. Slowly, but surely she was gaining her bearings, enough to draw her attention to other matters. Like the four other people around her for instance. And they seemed just as disoriented and confused as she was. “Oh, uh… Hey!” She quickly smoothed out her pjs in an attempt to look somewhat presentable. Wait, crap, PJs?! Why the hell was she outside with people like this? And her prosthetic was showing too… Great. But wait, if glasses guy was saying it was a dream, than she might be saved the embarrassment. It made sense, too, how else was any of this even possible. But were dreams always this vivid? “Yeah, you’re right. Gotta be a dream.” Her eyes darted between the others for confirmation. Now she got a look at them, they kind of looked familiar. Didn’t she go to middle school with some of them? “Say, do any of you guys go to Yakuharai High? Maybe?” Okay, maybe that was a bit out of the blue, but if it was a dream, it was fine, right? Nothing weird about it.
