Kaya looked up at him, giving Bryant a strange look for a few moments before she looked back down at a menu, reading over it with a small smirk on her face. She wasn’t exactly sure what it was, but all of Bryant’s foul mood from before seemed to have completely evaporated. Usually it took her ages to bring him out of a funk like the one he’d been in. Clearly they needed to go out for burgers more, even if she did sometimes worry about the things going into her food. Usually, at home, she’d use her alchemy to access them and remove any chemicals or additives. But she couldn’t do that in public. It reminded her why she didn’t go out for food often. The waitress arrived in a timely manner to take their orders and Kaya ordered a vegetarian burger with all the salads, a side of fries and a vanilla shake. “Let it never be said I’m one of those really stupid girls who doesn’t eat anything when they have lunch with someone.” Because girls like that kind of annoyed her, a lot. It was probably why she liked hanging out with Bryant so much. Yeah she didn’t get guys sometimes, but she never understood girls and their motivations. Guys were just… easier.
