Annalee Diaz "Well, I suppose that means she's hungry AND wants a bath." Annalee spoke to herself after the bathroom door had closed behind Megumi. Half sighing, and half laughing, Annalee went to get some food ready for her. She made a simple sandwich, as she still didn't really know what type of foods that Megumi liked, and she also made a serving of oatmeal that she put some butter and sugar in before bringing it all upstairs. She placed the food on her nightstand and went to knock on the bathroom door. "Hey, I got some food for you. It's on the nightstand, although I don't know how much longer the oatmeal will stay hot just sitting there." She called through the door and added, "I'm going to put Lucas to bed now, so don't worry if i'm not in the room when you get out." With that done, Annalee walked down the hall, past her older brother's room, and knocked on the door to Lucas's room. Be fore she had even begun to speak, the door swung open, and there stood her adorable little brother, with his pajamas on backwards. "Good night sister!" He said with a big grin on his face. "Oh, dear. One, you don't say good night as a greeting, you say good evening. Two, you do realize that your pajamas are backwards, don't you?" Annalee couldn't keep herself from laughing as Lucas said in a perfect mimic of their mother, "Of course I know, Dear! I always know best." He laughed with her for a second and then pulled on her hand, bringing her into hi room with him as the door shut behind them. Speaking normally now, he said, "I don't like the buttons, they make me itchy." Annalee knelt on the floor by her brother. "Well then, shall we find out why?" She moved her hand in a motion to mean 'turn around' and unbuttoned the jacket of the pajamas, taking it off of him. "Alright, turn back now." When he did, she stood and went to his dresser. Pulling out a soft undershirt, she said, "Let's try wearing this under the jacket. The extra layer will keep you from itching, and you'l be warmer as well!" He took the undershirt from her and put it on quickly, while she waited to help him put the jacket back on too. Once he was properly dressed, he hugged her and thanked her. "There's no itching now sister! None at all!" A big grin on his face. Annalee patted him on the head and steered him to his bed. "Alright, you know that's just my job. Now it's time for you to go to sleep, Lucas." She pulled the blanket up to his nose and kissed his forehead lightly. "Good night. Sleep tight, and don't bite the bedbugs." She smiled as she turned off the lights and closed the door, with her brother's laughter echoing in her mind as she went back to her room.
