Hello I am a Fan of all things Harry Potter but am tired of the typical Hogwarts RP but thought it needed Vamping up a bit to drag it from it's rut.

This is still a work in progress and I'd love any help or suggestions but here goes the rough Idea.

Deep in the lowest dungeons of Hogwarts exists a Classroom attended by the oddest collection of students in the school; It is [Color=LightSeaGreen]GHOUL STUDIES[/Color] It is a class taken by the Curious, the Gifted and the Cursed.

The mysteries of death have long been studied by the most intelligent of wizard scholars , but to no avail. In the macabre topic of death, wizards look to Ghoul Studies in attempt to better understand something that has baffled magical and muggle societies alike. 

Are you just one of the curious few who seeks the answers to what waits beyond the veil or what makes a ghost, spirit or quasi dead tick? Would you like to know how some became ghosts and is it possible achieve their near immortal status avoiding what lies unknown beyond? How to banish, control, capture or even destroy ghosts then sign up young witch or wizard.

Maybe you're one of the gifted or cursed mediums who need to learn to control their abilities and protect themselves (Only two mediums will be allowed outside of the teacher and I'm still rattling this around in my head; Here's a sample.)

These people are seen as blessed or cursed for they have an ability to touch with intensive training Ghosts, Spirits and other Non Corporeal types and see the dead when others can't. This is a two edged ability for it means Ghosts, Spirits and Non Corporeals can touch them and in the case of the more powerful types poses their bodies for short periods or permanently........................as I said still hashing this one out[/Hider]

I was reading the Wiki's a few weeks ago and came across a Class I'd seen mentioned everytime I did a character but had never researched. So here's that Wiki in a nutshell

Ghoul Studies is a class taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Despite it being a class in its own right, it is not a core nor elective subject, so it must be extra-curricular or optional. The subject presumably focuses on ghouls, ghosts, and poltergeists.[1] This class is taught in a classroom on the Serpentine Corridor, located in the Hogwarts Turris Magnus. It is unknown who teaches this subject.

Behind the scenes

This class can only be seen on the official Marauder's Map replica made by the Noble Collection.


Not much is it but I can see wonderful possibilities 
First off it's an Extra-curricular which means to take it is academically not thought highly of but can't be left out
Second It would be a class that takes place most often at night and weekends.
Third I can see people from all the houses attending but the class size would be small

Also as a lover of a good Dungeon crawl I can't get out of my head that Hogwarts has a massive catacomb network and a subterranean cave system.
