Alula kept in her own corner of the bar, silently observing the patrons around her. This was all rather new to her, or at least she thought it felt new. Several times while sitting a barmaid would walk over to her and ask if she needed anything. Alula would turn them away, flustered, every time. What did that even mean? Was this woman implying that something was wrong with her? No, this certainly couldn't be the case. Alula understood the barmaid. She muttered softly. "Always the maiden and never the man. Working hard to make her place. One day to bark the orders." Her hazy eyes looked over, watching as the half-elf and then the Paladin tried to haggle with the barkeep for food and drink. She could tell the man was lying. Everything in his keeping was extremely overpriced, aimed at the drunk and the desperate. All the man cared for was material wealth. Eventually the paladin received food for the small man and the half-elf carried away as bottle of wine. Alula found herself liking the paladin more and more, his kindness for others was strangely relaxing. Alula watched with a strange transfixion as the half elf took a seat, away from the others. There was something odd about the bottle he had, something that reminded her of something. Her head was swimming, and the voices only seemed to be getting louder and louder as she tried to figure out what was causing such a strong sense of nostalgia. A gentle voice spoke above the rest. "You appear to be staring at the half-elf, and he is staring back. You are making him uncomfortable." Alula hadn't realized she had been looking at him for so long, and with such pained expression. She quickly tore her eyes away from the half-elf and the bottle. And immediately the voices ceased. That was strange. But what was stranger was who next approached the half-elf, another girl. But something was extremely different about this girl, the voices agreed. Alula allowed herself to give into the temptation of looking back over at the table, but wished she hadn't she felt extremely flustered for some reason, tugging her hat back over her eyes and facing away from the half-elfs table. "You and the girl are quite different. You coverup for shame, and she undresses for survival." "A woman raised in a world of hate and dark, now depends on humans for survival. Her hunger is carnivorous."
