I know what you mean - long posts often mean more time for ideas/enthusiasm to fizzle out slightly......but that's some nice vocabulary, even in the last paragraph! 

But, anyways, I may be a little out of practise, as I've not written anything for ages...A Levels tend to get in the way of any kind of hobby, but I've been determined to resurrect at least something creative before the exams start!...(probably not the best tactic but, oh well!...)
