Nikki was driving along enjoying the night as she heard the songs of technology singing all around her. In it she could detect the cell calls of people and the rapid percussion of the web and had she wished she could focus on any single point eavesdropping on conversation or activity. She was used to the cloud of electronic noise now and thought if she were a less scrupulous person she could be rich beyond imagining because there was no system she couldn't bend to her will. Her 57 convertible T-bird drew stares when she stopped at lights it's gleaming black body and fiery red interior harking back to a time when automotive design was art. Nikki loved the car first because it had been her father's and lastly because it had no electronics to accidently gain sentience which was troubling to say the least. She laughed softly remembering how much Theodore had complained about her leaving him at home but she'd explained to him that a grown woman didn't normally travel with a teddy bear. Theo was the only permanent sentient she had created as yet and by limiting her exposure time around electronics hopefully the only one. Sentience Inducement was the only power that Nikki had yet to gain control over and was the reason she limited how long she worked with complex systems.
