Kenji had never felt so honored in his life. Nor has he felt so much fear. All of Shima treated the fellowship as if they were heroes, a ceremony for them was thrown and they were given utmost respect by all of Shima, even the nobles. The Daimyo himself gave a speech that he and the entirety of Shima Clan would be eternally grateful for them and that he will always be willing to help the heroes in any way he can. While those were words of encouragement, it only served to add weight on the responsibility that sat comfortably on Kenji's shoulders. Nonetheless, Kenji was more than honored that he would be partaking in a journey that meant something crucial about the relationship between the Spirit World and the Mortal World. However, he was worried about his clan, especially Shinja Harada. That technology-embracing warrior was always ambitious, ever bugging Lord Oja about the human conflicts of Baji. Kenji would not be surprised if he was to spark a rebellion and take Lord Shima's throne for the Oja, if not take it for himself and rejoin the main conflict in Baji. Fortunately, his Lord Takeshi was wise enough not to take Shinja's words too seriously so Kenji has faith that Lord Oja would keep Shinja on a leash. Kenji's thoughts were interrupted when a man of blue clothing placed a hand on his shoulder and grinned.
"I ask for your tea to compliment every meal and in return, you have my word that the history of our culture shall forever be respected and protected."
Kenji recognized this man. This was Jiang Baji, the Dog of Shima. "I shall, Sir Baji." Kenji was not sure why he has a demeaning title. He was certainly not an evil person. Maybe it is actually a complimentary title? Whatever the reason may be, the answer will elude Kenji for now. Jiang proceeded to greet the rest of the fellowship before getting into a hassle with the half-Oni Yuudai Wakahisa. A skilled person, great at the mystic arts and at the kitchen. She would make a great wife. Kenji blushed lightly at the weird thoughts he suddenly had. Surely there was-- "Found you, Kenji." A familiar, gruff voice called out to him. Kenji turned and found a man in yellow samurai armor, two katana sheathes on his waist and held a large sword wrapped in cloth. The Yang wanted to smack his face at the mistake he made and the glory he gave. "You forgot this." Shinja gave Kenji's large and broad sword. "...Thank you." Kenji reluctantly said. "At first I thought you were delusional enough to not need weapons and only your gods." Shinja said his usual banter. "But then Lord Oja sent me with that. Said he knew you were nervous about all this." It seems Kenji will have to thank his Lord. Though if Lord Takeshi knew he would be nervous, why was he sent then? "Just don't try anything funny while I'm away, Shinja." Kenji warned. "Or what? Your gods will strike me with lightning?" Shinja retorted. "Whatever. I won't okay? That Tenzin guy is too much too handle anyway." Shinja whispered the last words. "No promises though." The Yin said his last words before walking away. Kenji let out a sigh. He hoped Lord Takeshi would keep that leas tight.
