[@Eklispe] "Oh, hey Bristlebane! I'd love to, only, my horn is kind of impractical. It's a full two octaves above the normal clarinet, like it's lowest note is at the top of the staff." She twirled the instrument between her hands, then brought it up and played a full scale, the highest note being almost too high to hear. "See, kind of impractical for anything besides a full clarinet choir." She grinned at the memory. "When I was little I wanted to play clarinet so badly, but my hands were too small for even the littlest piccolo clarinet, so my brothers carved this thing out of a quartz crystal I had found." Her mouth trembled but she forced it back into a smile. "I could sing; my voice isn't pitched as impractically as this is."
