Gin probably would had said something about the questionable statement about his height but he wasn’t going to be rude first thing to the people he was supposed to be travelling with. It wasn’t going to do him any good if he was making enemies before he could finally have some friends. He was supposed to be one of the best in their village for the job and yet if he was going to end up badmouthing others just because they underestimated him he knew they might try to reconsider everything. It was probably a bit pathetic, what with him being the shortest half-Oni there, but at least he knew he had more bite than bark any day. Shifting his foot he soon sighed, pulling at his sleeves before gasping when someone spoke to him. Turning quickly to face them he saw it was the little woman, Tengu by the looks of it. Staring at them for a moment he soon huffed, quickly giving the back of his head a scratch. ”Well thanks, I suppose…” It wasn’t so much encouraging to hear that as it was just a bit of a quick observation. Her being short wasn’t a big deal considering what she was and being only taller than her still made him the shortest male. He had to get that off his mind; there were more important things to think about other than his height and whether the people would believe in him. Once they went into battle he knew he would be one of the first to jump into battle and prove his worth. He had practiced for a long time and was well prepared to kill if he had to; besides, he’d probably shame his fellow half-Oni warriors if he proved to be a coward. Not feeling too interested in the chatter that was going on Gin simply kept to himself, not really up to attracting any attention when it probably would be directed towards his age, height or something regarding his muscular size. If there was ever going to be someone who would have to soak all the teasing it would probably have to be him and he would show he could be a man about it and take it with dignity. Folding his arms he let out a huff, heading towards the exit with the others.
