I would be interested in this game/setting, like everyone i have a couple of question.

1. Is there a preferred alignment for your players.

Last thing, i like the idea of sticking to DnD has i've played a bit too much on pathfinder. there is a complete site with all the rules of pathinder. So if the problem was about rules and such, then i'll send you a link.
