[/quote] This would be the most accurate, if x, y, and z are a position in your house, then changing keeps you in the same position (theoretically) yet you are in a different place. Given your original examples, I feel that had I provided a proper example, using concepts of the system that are discussed before this section of the article, it would easily clear up your first two assumptions.
