Though their mission was serious, he wanted the others to have fun and enjoy themselves as well and he hoped that Gin would lose his stutter as time moves forward.  This world was harsh for half-Onis but that was something very similar to Jiang's own upbringing so he could perfectly sympathize with them.  

The debate on where to go was still up in the air and though he highly favored the dangerous path, he didn't want to go there unless everyone was able to commit with their whole heart.
