Alda jumped and turned her head, raising her eyebrows in an attempt to give that critical-but-innocently-confused look that says, [i]What the hell are you talking about?[/i] It didn't work, though, because her face flushed and became a noticeable shade of pink. She struggled internally with whether to engage in conversation with the boy, who obviously couldn't mind his own business but didn't look too bad himself.
