Paige fixed herself a plate while Linc was talking. When he answered chocolate, she gasped in mock horror. "I don't know if it's legal for us to be friends." She joked. She couldn't quite understand why it was so easy to talk to him. It was practically effortless. All her life, she had to be acutely aware of her syntax and inflictions in her voice. If anyone got the wrong idea because they didn't understand her perfectly, she was held responsible for any fallout that affected her parents' jobs. But now, she was talking and laughing with a guy she met today. If someone had told her that this was how her day was going to play out, she would have laughed in their face earlier. But now that she was here and in the moment, she couldn't imagine doing anything else. SHe chuckled slightly when he apologized for rambling. "It's okay, really." She said. "And yeah, I'm really excited for this whole adventure. I know I probably look like the last person who should be here, but this is something I want to do for me. So that's all the motivation I need." She ate somem of her salad then continued. "The food's great. You should eat as much as you want, just know that you'll be working it off in the morning. And what about you? Are you excited?" [@_Middle_]
