There are clear differences. He uses cards to store things. (Caelum) 
I might as well say his name now. Cassius draws the essence from himself to make forms based around his concentration. So he could make a diamond looking weapon for temporary use, and go sell it because they look like jewelry. Psynergy is a beautiful thing. 

It will also be explained more in his CS. (Which I was starting to work on yesterday night. Still unwinding from finishing school.)
