~LOCUST Home System~ Six barren planets orbited around a dying red star. The system was absolutely drained of resources, not one gram of iron or uranium remained in the solar system. One might be led to believe that nothing lived here, but they'd be wrong. Several small ships littered the system, each congregating in clusters around five larger ships. The larger ships were several kilometers long, and looked like they could fit a city inside. Several robotic drones barreled down the rails on the outside of the ship, making repairs and preparing for their journey. All of the individual fleets worked together in perfect mechanical precision, and fired their lasers at pitch black cubes about 10 centimeters in height length and width from several kilometers away. A violent explosion was created, and five wormholes came into existence. Perhaps if the LOCUST were another species they would cry with joy or perhaps have some pride in this accomplishment. But the only thing that drove them was the desire to consume and produce more of their robotic kind. The five separate fleets flew into their individual wormholes, and they all emerged at solar systems that still pulsed with energy and life. ~Alpha System~ The LOCUST Alpha fleet emerged at a binary system, where a yellow star orbited around a black hole. This system only had a gas giant that had several moons orbiting around it. As soon as they emerged the LOCUST ships turned on their nuclear drives and rushed toward the giant to consume its resources. ~Beta System~ The LOCUST Beta fleet emerged at a yellow star system. This system had several rocky planets, but only one with life. If anyone on that planet was listening to the stars, they would only hear the propaganda for a war that ended several years ago. The LOCUST conglomerate relentlessly moved forward to consume more resources. ~Centauri System~ The LOCUST Centauri fleet emerged at a white dwarf system. Only a few iceballs remained at the edge of the system. The LOCUSTs made their way toward the edge of the system to consume what little it still had. ~Delta System~ The LOCUST Delta fleet emerged at a yellow star system with several large rocky planets absolutely teeming with resources. The LOCUSTs descended upon the planets, to harvest it's resources. ~Sol System~ The LOCUST Epsilon fleet emerged at a very familiar yellow star. One with four terrestrial planets and four different gas giants. The third planet in particular seemed to have develop some intelligent life. However, at first the LOCUST fleet would take no notice of this. They mindlessly consumed more and more resources until they had to encounter the human presence within the system. It was inevitable that they'd come across one of the human asteroid bases in the system. They came across one particularly populous base named Minbari station. The civilian station tried to respond to it with several different hails, but the LOCUST decided to respond by bombing the base with nuclear missiles. Distress signals from Minbari Station flooded the solar system, and humanity would learn very quickly about the LOCUST. While the asteroid miners flooded the radios with distress signals, the LOCUSTS continued to broadcast propaganda for their long dead creators. If the humans were listening, they'd hear several messages like this: "Kindred, hear my greetings. Tough times are these, but we will defeat the bone gnawing savages within OUR system. Within a few cycles our machines will grind them into dust. They cannot be trusted, they give us no choice."
