We think you have the power pretty much down, you've thought about what it allows her to do and how it will negatively affect her, too. I am completely okay with not having pyrokinesis. It would be more of an aesthetic power if anything, you know?

I had this vision that the pythons were partially sentient; They would be mainly motionless without her activation but would occasionally move around and hiss. 

Yes she would have the ability to make them grow, shrink, ext. I added a wikipedia page to provide more insight on trichokinesis.

I guess that portion of the power is better outlined her weakness and limits portion of her abilities.
