Kiddo Day Kiddo let out a sigh as he closed his sketch book, leaving it neatly placed on his bed. He began pacing around his room. Bored out of his mind already. Hmmm. Maybe this is the perfect time to make friends. Mom always said- No! I will not give in now. I can’t. Kiddo punched the wall in anger. After a while of thinking a growl erupted from Kiddo’s stomach. He hadn't ate since the car ride to Northwood. Pulling out his wallet, Kiddo grabbed $5. He didn't know if there were any snack machines anywhere. But he it was worth looking into. Opening the door Kiddo looked both ways down the hall, out of habit. Usually when he was done studying he would check to make sure nobody was around before stepping away from the scene. Kiddo made his way down the hall. You could hear whispers all around, people seeing old friends, people arguing, crying. The emotions were endless. Taking his index and middle fingers he began to rub his temples. Ugh. To many people in a single setting. Let’s just get our food and get back to the room. Hopefully before anybody tries to talk to us. Finally after a little while of searching he found a single snack machine, alongside a soda machine. Kiddo put his money into the machines. He pulled out a bag of pretzels and got a Big Red. Kiddo twisted the cap. *Hiiissss* Kiddo sighed once more, pulling of the cap and taking a small sip, savoring the flavor. He then sat down on a bench placed nearby. This was followed by opening the pretzels, eating a couple, taking a sip of soda. This was repeated multiple times. Kiddo laid his head back and closed his eyes. He began to think as the other voice in his head died down.
